In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and being deemed “essential business” by the governor of the state of Florida, we want to assure you, our loyal customers, that Pro Movers Miami has, and always will, put the safety of our team and that of our customers first and foremost. We are committed to following all best practices and guidelines for sanitation and for cleanliness, and are taking all of the necessary precautions as we proceed to service your move. To that end, extensive measures are being taken wherever possible to combat the spread of this virus, while still being safe and efficient as we continue to provide you with the first-class, five star moving experience that you have come to expect of us. Here are some of the proactive measures we’ve implemented and will continue to implement:

  • All estimates are being provided over the phone, virtually, on-line or via email until further notice.
  • Pre-move wellness checks for both our customers and our crew members, where all will be asked to advise us if you feel ill or suspect exposure to the virus. For our movers it would be mandatory that they stay home, and for our customers, moving services can be rescheduled, postponed or cancelled to mitigate risk, should that be necessary.
  • Our crews are equipped with gloves, disinfectant sprays/wipes and hand sanitizer for your protection and theirs.
  • We have put into effect social distancing measures, and although we have always valued the professionalism and respect that comes along with a good introductory handshake and a departing thank you, we ask for your understanding that for the safety and well-being of everyone, there’ll be no handshake or touching of any kind.
  • Upon arrival, our crew will still introduce themselves, walk through the home with appropriate social distance, begin to protect the home with all safeguards like floor runners, and door jams (as they always do), but in addition we ask you now (with all due respect), to please give them the appropriate space they need to safely and efficiently service your move and allow them space to do their job.
  • When available and appropriate, open doorways and windows to increase air circulation and ventilation.
  • We are also taking measures to sanitize the cabs and boxes of our trucks, as well as all blankets, pads, tools and equipment after each and every move to reduce any risk of cross-contamination.
  • It is our hope and our expectation that you will take the same precautionary measures that we are taking, and that will also sanitize and wipe down any and all exposed surfaces and furniture prior to our arrival. Anything that you can do to help keep our working conditions safe and sanitary for our men, is equally appreciated.
  • Owners / office staff will be working around the clock from home with complete access for our team and our customers via phone, email and text.

Again, thank you for choosing Pro Movers Miami, it is our sincere pleasure to serve you. Our Promise to you, and no matter what circumstances, is to continue to deliver the 5 stars moving service that our customers depend on. Tips for moving in together with your significant other

You know that your relationship got serious if you two are looking for a place to live together. Moving in together with your significant other is one of the most important life decisions and therefore it should be approached seriously. You two are practically married now, so you should lay all the cards on the table. Know that many big questions arise from this decision. Where will you live? Are you going to rent or buy the property? And that’s just the beginning, the next step is to agree on decorations choices, and pets. One of the most popular destinations for young couples is Florida. The Sunshine State offers many great cities to choose from like Miami, Tampa, Jacksonville, Orlando, and St. Petersburg. If you do decide to move to Miami you should know that the best way to do it is with the help of professional movers.

You have to determine your budget before moving in together with your significant other

Finances are probably the most important factor for most people. The first question that you need to ask yourself is are you going to buy the property or rent it? While the latter certainly gives you more freedom and flexibility, owning a property is always a better choice in the long run. Buying the property means that you are investing in something of your own. Something that you can leave to your kids. So, what are the advantages of owning the property?

  • You don’t have to pay the rent
  • You can modify the place according to your desires without asking anyone

Renting an apartment is also a good option if you don’t have enough funds to buy your own place. It comes with some advantages as well:

  • Smaller monthly bills compared to renting or owning the house
  • All the repairs are the responsibility of the owner
  • Apartments are typically located in the city and that translates to less money spent on gas and public commute
  • Lower maintenance costs

You have to agree on your habits

What you must take into consideration when choosing your living area is your habits. If you want to be closer to the city downtown and all the major happenings, renting an apartment is probably the best option. If you love the urban bustle, going out, and a fast-paced lifestyle, then an apartment is the ideal option. Also, another good idea is to choose an apartment that is near the place where you work. On the other hand, if you two are planning to start a family soon, a house would be a much better choice. Just imagine your own backyard where your kids could play with pets and enjoy beautiful weather. And all that in the safety of your backyard. Additionally, a house offers separate rooms for everybody, a peaceful and quiet suburban environment, and a guaranteed parking space.

Sorting out your belongings is a must before moving in together with your significant other

Living together is all about compromises. It is the basis of every healthy relationship. Since you are going to share your living space with somebody else, you have to make sure that there is enough room for the belongings of both of you. Now is the perfect time to get rid of everything you don’t need anymore. Sell, donate, or simply throw out everything that is surplus to requirements. Also, watch out that you don’t duplicate stuff. You probably don’t need two coffee machines or two refrigerators. You get the point. Furthermore, the more stuff you decide to move, the bigger your moving costs will be. Check out moving quotes Miami, and you will see that this is true. Last but not least, if you sort out your belongings before the move, you will find the packing process a lot easier, and you will unpack much faster.

Okay, but what if you want to do it yourself?

While you can’t transport your household on your own, you can certainly pack on your own. We believe that you are perfectly capable of packing your books and your clothes. You can do it together and add some fun to the whole process. It’s all about being positive and creating some great memories. If you need another pair of helping hands, you can call your friends to help you out. Additionally, by packing on your own you will save some money. So, what do you need to get this done?

  • Bubble wrap
  • Packing paper
  • Bubble wrap
  • Scissors
  • Marker pens
  • Label stickers
  • Styrofoam peanuts
