For our movers it would be mandatory that they stay home, and for our customers, moving services can be rescheduled, postponed or cancelled to mitigate risk, should that be necessary.
  • Our crews are equipped with gloves, disinfectant sprays/wipes and hand sanitizer for your protection and theirs.
  • We have put into effect social distancing measures, and although we have always valued the professionalism and respect that comes along with a good introductory handshake and a departing thank you, we ask for your understanding that for the safety and well-being of everyone, there’ll be no handshake or touching of any kind.
  • Upon arrival, our crew will still introduce themselves, walk through the home with appropriate social distance, begin to protect the home with all safeguards like floor runners, and door jams (as they always do), but in addition we ask you now (with all due respect), to please give them the appropriate space they need to safely and efficiently service your move and allow them space to do their job.
  • When available and appropriate, open doorways and windows to increase air circulation and ventilation.
  • We are also taking measures to sanitize the cabs and boxes of our trucks, as well as all blankets, pads, tools and equipment after each and every move to reduce any risk of cross-contamination.
  • It is our hope and our expectation that you will take the same precautionary measures that we are taking, and that will also sanitize and wipe down any and all exposed surfaces and furniture prior to our arrival. Anything that you can do to help keep our working conditions safe and sanitary for our men, is equally appreciated.
  • Owners / office staff will be working around the clock from home with complete access for our team and our customers via phone, email and text.

Starting a business in Miami

Miami is a sunny oasis teeming with opportunities for all aspiring entrepreneurs. So it’s easy to understand how starting a business in Miami might be inviting for many aspiring entrepreneurs. South Florida in particular has recently become a hotspot for startups which in itself is very inviting for many future business owners. Given how many businesses are both starting and relocating to Miami, finding a big enough office space might be hard or even impossible in the beginning. Storage units Miami will help you with those issues, and afford you more time to find the perfect offices for yourself and your team.

Does starting a business in Miami have to be a dream?

The answer to that is absolutely NOT! If you put your mind to it, you can achieve anything, and starting your own business in Miami is no different. It is prudent though, to not approach the matter hotheadedly. Before venturing into setting up your own business, it’s important to consider all possibilities and consequences, both good and bad. It is also necessary to plan ahead and plan well. Here is what you should consider when starting your Miami business.

Starting a business in Miami doesn’t have to be a dream!

1. What will your business be?

Having a bulletproof plan is always a good start. It’s important to follow your passions, but it’s equally as important to evaluate the market. Think about what your business will offer, your brand’s identity, but also think about what the market already has to offer. Considering the potential clientele Miami has to offer is also fundamental to starting a successful business. Start a drawing board and brainstorm. Whenever you feel uncertain about the path your taking, go back to the drawing board until you feel secure and confident in your plan.

2. Is Miami right for you?

Miami is arguably a wonderful place to be for everyone who loves lively cities with a lot of beaches and sunny weather. This in itself is a big push for many people when considering a move to Miami. Aside from great moving companies, crowded streets and warm weather, Miami offers many business-related opportunities. Being one of Florida’s most populated and popular cities, it is easy to see how it might be perceived as the right place to start a business. But on the flip side of the coin, Miami might not be what you or your business need right now. If your business isn’t targeting a clientele Miami has to offer, or you’re not into the culture of Miami, it might not be the best place to start a business for you.

3. Moving to Miami

If you’ve already decided that Miami is your target destination, but you’re not already located there, moving to Miami will be a big part of the process of starting your business. Moving in itself can be exhausting and require a lot of time, energy, and planning. Finding the right home for yourself and a space for your offices well in advance is important. A home office might be a solution for you if you’re an only employee, or your business can be run from home. It is also possible to set up a home office in smaller spaces. Home offices will help you save some coin at the beginning of the process. Alternatively, take time looking for an appropriate office space.

4. Keeping track of your finances

Finances are one huge reason why building a business takes longer than a business owner might want. Most people don’t have bottomless pockets and never-ending streams of cash to invest in their businesses. That’s why being wise with your investments is important. Saving money where possible will certainly come in handy if any unplanned spending should arise. Keep in mind that starting a business comes with many uncertainties and you should treat it as such.

Proper bookkeeping can be useful in more scenarios than just saving money. Well organized documentation can help you stay on top of paying bills and dealing with legal necessities that come with managing any business. Being organized can also help you in completing your tasks more effectively and efficiently.

5. Should you hire professional help?

Many people shy away from hiring help, especially in the beginning stages of starting their business. This is not a good practice since cutting the costs in important domains might turn into bigger spending down the road. Hiring a financial advisor or an accountant will both ensure safe and wise handling of the money, but also take the load off your shoulders. Other professional help might also prove beneficial such as moving companies. Evaluate your own abilities, and be honest with yourself what and how much you can handle. Overloading yourself with jobs can be harmful to both your business and your health.

6. Being patient!

Patience is one of the greatest virtues. Being patient when starting your Miami business is very important, since growing a business from the scratch can take a long time. It’s a longterm journey with many ups and downs. Your business is your baby, handle it with care and patience, and watch it blossom!

Relocating your offices to Miami

As mention before, Florida is a great place to start or grow both small and big businesses. If you’re already an established entrepreneur with a booming business, you might still want to relocate to Florida. Deciding to move, and moving your offices can be intimidating, but often beneficial. Depending on the type of your business, Miami might offer you greatly needed contacts and new clientele suitable for your business. If you’re thinking about relocating your offices to Miami, here are a few simple steps you could follow for an easy relocation:

  • Think about whether moving is the right step for your business right now. Moving can be a great opportunity, but sometimes it’s just not the right time.
  • Look for a suitable office space. Finding an office space suitable for your needs is arguably the most important part.
  • Plan a budget. Keeping track of your finances and planning in advance will ensure your move is as smooth as possible.
  • Talk to your employees. Good interpersonal relationships within the company are important. If you’re a small business owner, talk to your employees and find out how they feel about the relocation.
  • Declutter. Moving is a perfect time to reorganize. Declutter before moving your offices might significantly decrease moving costs, and can certainly help you organize better.
  • Hire a professional moving company. professional moving companies have a vast amount of experience when handling all sorts of moving, office relocations included. Having strong support during a big change such as this will give you peace of mind everyone needs during a move.

Whether you’re starting a business from the scratch, or simply relocating your existing one, it is important to make sure you’re taking the right steps at the right time, and in the right place. Starting a business in Miami might be the right step for you right now, or in the future. If a move to Miami is something you truly desire, don’t let your dreams be just that, but make sure you’re cautious when making life-changing decisions.
