Traditionally, the event setup Miami had to offer was something in the range of barbecues, hot dogs, funfairs, parades, concerts, and… Fireworks. Miami is notorious for its amazing pyrotechnic displays on the eve of Independence day. However, all that has come to a grinding halt. Since the outbreak of the Coronavirus, a lot of social events have been canceled. And for good reason too. Given the fact that the COVID-19 virus is a highly contagious respiratory virus.

So, what does that mean for the 4th of July in 2020? Well, as far as Miami is concerned we have good news.

Fort Lauderdale

At 9 PM the City of Fort Lauderdale will be launching fireworks from four locations around the city:

  • City Hall;
  • Beach Community Center;
  • Holiday Park;
  • Carter Park.

Each show will last for approximately 20 minutes. You can catch the show online as well. So, you can enjoy the pyrotechnic display from the safety of your own home.

If however, these locations don’t tickle your fancy make sure to visit Ocean Drive, South Beach. This beautiful event can be watched directly from the safety of your car, sidewalks or, you might even be able to catch some cafes and restaurants that are open.
