In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and being deemed “essential business” by the governor of the state of Florida, we want to assure you, our loyal customers, that Pro Movers Miami has, and always will,put the safety of our team and that of our customers first and foremost. We are committed to following all best practices and guidelines for sanitation and for cleanliness, and are taking all of the necessary precautions as we proceed to service your move. To that end, extensive measures are being taken wherever possible to combat the spread of this virus, while still being safe and efficient as we continue to provide you with the first-class, five star moving experience that you have come to expect of us. Here are some of the proactive measures we’ve implemented and will continue to implement:

  • All estimates are being provided over the phone, virtually, on-line or via email until further notice.
  • Pre-move wellness checks for both our customers and our crew members, where all will be asked to advise us if you feel ill or suspect exposure to the virus. For our movers it would be mandatory that they stay home, and for our customers, moving services can be rescheduled, postponed or cancelled to mitigate risk, should that be necessary.
  • Our crews are equipped with gloves, disinfectant sprays/wipes and hand sanitizer for your protection and theirs.
  • We have put into effect social distancing measures, and although we have always valued the professionalism and respect that comes along with a good introductory handshake and a departing thank you, we ask for your understanding that for the safety and well-being of everyone, there’ll be no handshake or touching of any kind.
  • Upon arrival, our crew will still introduce themselves, walk through the home with appropriate social distance, begin to protect the home with all safeguards like floor runners, and door jams (as they always do), but in addition we ask you now (with all due respect), to please give them the appropriate space they need to safely and efficiently service your move and allow them space to do their job.
  • When available and appropriate, open doorways and windows to increase air circulation and ventilation.
  • We are also taking measures to sanitize the cabs and boxes of our trucks, as well as all blankets, pads, tools and equipment after each and every move to reduce any risk of cross-contamination.
  • It is our hope and our expectation that you will take the same precautionary measures that we are taking, and that will also sanitize and wipe down any and all exposed surfaces and furniture prior to our arrival. Anything that you can do to help keep our working conditions safe and sanitary for our men, is equally appreciated.
  • Owners / office staff will be working around the clock from home with complete access for our team and our customers via phone, email and text.

Again, thank you for choosing Pro Movers Miami, it is our sincere pleasure to serve you. Our Promise to you, and no matter what circumstances, is to continue to deliver the 5 stars moving service that our customers depend on. It’s almost like there’s a pattern of emotions that you’ll have to process. At first, you’ll be excited about your move, but after you start to plan and organize it, the stress emerges. If the problems appear along the way, you might even start to feel overwhelmed and anxious. But, before you start to panic, slow down and take a step back. There are some simple tips that will help you cope with moving stress. Luckily, you’re in the right place because we’re ready to tell you all about preparing mentally for your upcoming move. Keep reading our blog to find out how to make the moving stress disappear!

Adopt the right attitude

Before hiring residential movers Miami, it’s necessary to find the time to think about your upcoming move.  Instead of feeling depressed, sad, and negative, you should adopt the right moving attitude. This will help you cope with moving stress! Whether you wanted to move or your moving because of an unexpected situation, you’ll need to try and make the best out of it. Trust us, positive thinking is key!

A sign with written "stress" and "relax" on it,
Relocation is not a reason to feel blue so instead of stressing out, relax and embrace the change.

Relocation will be a big change for you, so you should prepare for it as best as you can! Think about all the opportunities that will await you. You might meet new people, visit new places, find a dream job… The opportunities are endless, and that’s why you should embrace the change that will come with your move. However, this doesn’t mean you won’t stress out because of the move. Accept that moving stress is a part of the whole relocation. It will appear from time to time, but you’ll know how to deal with it the right way after you read our tips.

Plan your move ahead of time to cope with moving stress

One of the main reasons why people feel overwhelmed or they panic during the move is because they don’t start to organize it ahead of time. And this is a big no! Instead of making this major mistake, plan ahead your move. This goes for all of you who aren’t in need of last-minute movers. Find the time to organize your relocation like a real moving expert. Trust us, there’s nothing worse than having to pack your entire home in one day!

Start small

You don’t have to organize the whole move in one day and one month before the big date. So, when we advise you to start organizing the move early, start small. For example, if you want to pack without stress, you’ll need a moving checklist, packing supplies, and of course, help. So, plan each task step by step, at least two weeks before your move. This way, you’ll know well in advance whether you’ll be able to pull off your relocation in a way you’ve planned to.

An open planner.
Start planning your move well ahead of time to avoid the occurrence of anxiety and panic attacks.

Staying organized is key to moving stress-free

Sticking to the plan is crucial, especially if you’re relocating your offices with or without the help of reliable commercial movers Miami. The goal is to do anything in order to make your move as less stressful as you can. When you gather the packing material, place it somewhere where you won’t trip over it. Label moving boxes to make unpacking easier. Pack one room at the time in order to avoid creating chaos in your entire home. As soon as you pack one room, clean it. These are only some of the things that will help you stay organized during your move. Make sure to remember them for your upcoming move!

Call in the troops

If you want to cope with moving stress, you’ll need help! As soon as you come up with the date of your move, notify a couple of your friends or family members who can help you with the relocation. You can even ask your neighbors to lend you a hand! Keep in mind that they can help you with different aspects of your move. The strongest ones can load the boxes, but only after the younger ones label them. If you have small kids, ask someone to take care of them while you deal with the relocation. This way, your kids will be entertained during your move, and you’ll be able to focus on the move.

Friends can help you cope with moving stress.
With the help of other people, you’ll move with ease!

Hire moving experts

If you want to move easy and stress-free, you should consider hiring a moving company. Moving professionals can help you a lot during your move! They can overcome every obstacle and solve all problems that can occur during the relocation. However, this goes only for reliable and reputable moving companies. This is exactly the kind of a moving company you’ll need to find in order to move successfully. You should be very careful when hiring movers because moving scams can happen to all of us. One of the best ways of staying away from scammers is to always find out whether a company is licensed and to check their USDOT number.  This will be a good starting point for hiring a good moving company.

Prepare for your new neighborhood to beat moving stress

As you can see, there are ways that can help you cope with moving stress. All of them will make you want to host a move-in party as soon as you relocate! And that’s a good thing! Hosting a party after your relocation will give you a chance to meet your new neighbors and invite them to come and hang out with you. Good neighbor relationships will help you adjust and settle in your new neighborhood faster. Oh, and apart from organizing a party, you can also:

  • research your neighborhood before the move;
  • write down the amenities you want to check out;
  • ask locals to tell you where the best restaurants and cheapest grocery stores are.

All of the tips listed above will help you feel better about your upcoming move. So, what are you waiting for? Get rid of the negative emotions and embrace new opportunities and everything your new neighborhood can offer you! Your new adventure awaits you!
